POEM ONE – Mandukya Upanishad – The Essence of Upanishads

Mandukya Upanishad

Poem one on Mandukya Upanishad. I decided to explore the ten Principle Upanishads and extract the essence from them. Given that the Upanishads are themselves an extraction of the extraction of the essence of all knowledge combinedโ€ฆ

Om, the syllable supreme,
The world and all that’s unseen.
Past, present, future entwine,
Om, the sacred sound divine.

Self, the source of all that is,
Omniscient, controller, pure bliss.
Beginning and end, eternal flame,
Om, the essence of every name.

This brief poem encapsulates the teachings of the Mandukya Upanishad, highlighting the significance of the syllable Om, the nature of the Self, and the timeless wisdom it contains.

*Please note that poetry is a creative expression, and this poem is a concise summary, not a literal translation of the Upanishad. For a comprehensive understanding, it’s recommended to refer to authoritative translations by qualified scholars or spiritual teachers.
