MATRI ARK
A rescue mission for people who seek the nurture.
A digital space for ancient wisdom, eco-yoga and sustainability, whereas Yoga is seen as ecology of an individual, and ecology — as yoga of the collective.
Why this exists
The large platforms are built to hold attention and sell it onward. You scroll past millions of people and leave without being known by one of them. Exposure, with no belonging in it.
This is the other thing. A smaller number of people, meeting live, around teachers who are actually in the room with them. Here you are not an audience. You are expected to speak.
It is called an ark because that is what it does. It takes people aboard — one at a time, by name — and it carries what is worth carrying. Not a platform. A vessel with people on it.
Turn awareness inward and the body begins to heal. Turn it outward — toward soil, toward community, toward the way a household actually runs — and the same thing happens out there. The discipline is identical: observe consequence, reduce reactivity, act from what you can actually see.
Self-regulation and environmental responsibility are not two subjects that ought to co-operate. They are one discipline, practised in two directions.
Who this is for
You have probably been reading on your own for a while. You take the texts seriously and you are not looking for anyone to think on your behalf. You know what an ashram is. You hold something as sacred and you do not need that explained or apologised for. You may have travelled East, or intend to.
And you hold the feminine as power — not as service, not as endurance, not as duty. Women who recognise that as their own ground. Men who protect it, and whose decency is not conditional.
Who this is not for: anyone arriving to argue with yoga, with India, or with the sacred. There is nothing here for you and there is no room made for it.
What happens here
The whole of it is open to a member from the first day. Nothing here is drip-fed.

How this is governed
A circle, not a pyramid.
At the centre is the work. Around it sit Educators — the Custodians and Fellows of The Patanjali Fellowship — and those are functions, not thrones. A rank here describes what someone has undertaken to do, and it is held only while they do it. Nobody is above anybody. Nobody collects followers.
We are moving from hierarchy, domination and scarcity toward reciprocity, regeneration and community — from a pyramid that burns to a spiral that turns in water.
That is what MATRI means, and it is why the platform is shaped this way. The mother tradition does not run on obedience. It runs on reciprocity, on care that is returned, and on the right to say enough.

Who runs this
MATRI ARK is a project of Matri, whose own teaching in rāja yoga and yoga psychology sits at matri.au — thirty years practised. The platform is based in Australia and serves a global community.
It is operated by a registered charity. 100% of membership fees support sustainability and yoga education. Nothing here is funded by advertising, and no one’s data is sold.
Mission
To relieve suffering and distress through the practical application of yoga, ecological principles and indigenous wisdom — restoring alignment between how a person lives internally and how they relate to their environment.
Not philosophy — protocol
Flux is constant. This is where rāja yoga begins: not as a belief system but as a working protocol. Clean inputs, steady rhythm, trained attention. The physiology recovers. Clarity returns. Memory sharpens. Stamina rebuilds. And from that ground, right action stops being an effort and becomes the natural thing to do.
Effort → Discipline → Order → Space → Clarity → Relaxation → Life Force → Power
Dharma is uninterrupted alignment, and alignment is the measure. Not belief — coherence you can feel, between what you see, what you think, and what you do.
यतो धर्मस्ततो जयः
yato dharmas tato jayaḥ
Where there is dharma, there is victory.
— Mahābhārata, Bhīṣma Parva
Come in
Read something. Try one practice. Then say what happened when you did — that last part is the whole community.
