So easy and so yummy!!
Our family has been eating whole food plant based for over 4 years. During this time, my wfpb cookbook collection has grown immensely; some cookbooks are definitely better than others. Many recipes that taste great are rather time consuming/ complex; the ones that claim to be quick/ easy often lack in flavor. This recipes in this cookbook are not only easy enough for kids to help, or make on their own, every single recipe has been amazing thus far!!My 11 yr old daughter made Lazy Lasagna 100% by herself! She also made the Mouse Baked Potatoes with Gravy by herself; those accompanied another dish from another cookbook, but were just as tasty as they were cute! She really enjoys helping meal plan using this cookbook, and even writes on her calendar when she’ll be helping make dinner! One review mentioned the information on the pages being too much, like it was trying to convince people to eat this way. I did not see it that way at all. I don’t know everything about each individual ingredient, nor can I remember every single thing about each; I LOVE the little bits of information! Plus, since this is geared for kids, it helps them learn the about each ingredient, or how/ why each ingredient is beneficial. We absolutely love this cookbook, from start to finish, every little side note, and every recipe! Whether you’re a newbie looking to make better choices, a novice wanting to switch it up, or just want to involve the kids more – we definitely recommend this cookbook!!

Easy, fun and healthy!
I absolutely love this cook book! My two and three year old love flipping through the pages and picking out things to make. It’s so easy to follow, and the recipes are delicious! I loved this book so much, I bought several more for Christmas gifts. Definitely recommend!

As easy as it looks!
My wife and I picked this up for ourselves as relative newbies to the Whole Food Plant Based lifestyle, and we’ve been quite impressed with the layout; the attractive photographs and just how easy it is to get into the perhaps daunting reality that WFBP is a very different approach to eating. We’re thrilled that Faith is on this path and grateful to have this learning tool at our side!

Easy and Practical
We use this cookbook ALL THE TIME. I usually have most of the ingredients in my pantry, the recipes come together quick, and they are easy to make. My older kids can make them independently. I think we’ve made almost every recipe in the book, and have never been disappointed. We’ve given this as a gift to several family members too. 10/10!!

Fun, delicious, healthy and easy recipes!
I stumbled upon this awesome cookbook at my friend’s place, where she whipped up this amazing granola. It was so good that I had to get my own copy, and it’s become a game-changer for our family. The recipes are super easy and full of flavor, making them a hit with the kids. They’ve been loving the fact that they can each choose a special recipe each week and get hands on preparing them. I totally recommend this fantastic cookbook!

Great whole food plant based recipes for kids!
We’ve tried several recipes and they have all been delicious. My son won’t eat all of them but he loves the creative toasts, the smoothies, and the energy balls. I really like the curry. I’m also very happy that these recipes are easy, fast, and made with things I generally have around the house already. The only thing I miss is an index. But for good recipes that are helping us eat healthier, I won’t complain. I highly recommend this cookbook!

Fantastic book with more than just recipes. Great kitchen resource.
I’ve made several recipes already and have enjoyed most of them and made many multiple times. The homemade granola is the BEST! I make it at least once a month (we like it with apricots). The Taquitos are tasty and quick. The Yummest Hummus is so easy and tasty I don’t buy store bought anymore. The only thing missing is an index. On the Contents pages everything is listed but I would look for Shamrock Shakes under Dessert, but it’s under Sides and Sauces. It’s hard to find things I’m looking for. My solution is to use sticky notes or paperclips on my favorite pages.

Beautiful pictures and creative recipes
Let me start by saying that my family is vegan for the animals, not our health, and we definitely don’t follow a wfpb diet most of the time (we love olive oil). But I do think it’s important and while I wouldn’t use the recipes from this book 100% of the time, it’s great to throw into the mix of healthy family dinners. She has some very creative use of ingredients that I never would have thought of, and so many cute snacks. Plus the pictures on every page are gorgeous and help you to know that you’re making the right thing haha

Great pictures, great recipes — loving it!
I bought this book to work through with my 7 year old who is interested in being in the kitchen all of the time. I have a few other vegan kid ones, but this one is our favorite. We love it! The recipes are accessible and easy to follow. I use the Crispy Tofu recipe all of the time now! I also really like the how to pack healthy lunches part since it gives good ideas plus recommended pre-packaged snacks. Box Mac N “Cheese” has become a staple in our home.

So Well Done
This cookbook is so well done. First, I love that it is spiral. There is nothing better than a spiral cookbook. I have an adult special needs daughter and I working on teaching her to cook. Plant based is out lifestyle, there are so many easy recipes for us to get her started and the photography is beautiful. Everything looks delicious. We will have so much fun with this.

Fantastic
Our children are learning to cook and bake, and we wanted an inspiring cook book for them. So happy we bought this one! It’s big with beautiful pictures, and the spiral binding makes it so the book stays open when you use it. I appreciate the conversion tables on the inside of the cover. A big plus is that most ingredients in the recipes are normal, everyday things we already are familiar with. One of our children has read the whole book, and another is reading through it now! They are so excited to try the recipes! So am I, the food looks really yummy! /Mrs S.

Great for families!
We are newly plant based and it has been difficult to find recipes to cook for the whole family that everyone will like. This cookbook saved the day! The recipes are crowd pleasers and easy to assemble! I also love how the cookbook is spiral and lays flat. The best cookbook layout I think I’ve ever had. One caveat is that the spiral came out of the hardcover. My husband was able to put it back in and make it so that that won’t happen again.

I am loving this cookbook. Simple fuss free everyday recipes with ingredients that are easy to find…exactly what I needed. And don’t be fooled by the title…whether you’re a parent, empty nester or single … if you are looking for simple, fuss free, quick everyday meals that are WFPB, get this book. Seriously, these recipes are great for everyone, not just kids.

Wonderful Cookbook AND Resource
This cookbook is amazing! After having looked into WFPB eating for the past 5 years, I never felt like I had a great resource for children’s recipes. Most of the recipes that I found online were written for adults. This cookbook has solved that problem! The pictures are beautiful! The recipes are 1- simple and easy and 2- they taste delicious!! My 5 year old even loved thumbing through the pages to find recipes! I also love all the info sheets and side notes relating to nutrition, ingredient facts, prep tips, and educational insights! And as an added bonus, the book has a spiral binding, so it lays flat!!! I would 100% recommend this book to anyone looking for easy, healthy recipes for kids. Thanks Faith!

Simple and nutritious meals for all the family
I have been looking for a book just like this so long, and I’m so happy I finally found this! So many wonderful whole foods recipes that can be enjoyed by the whole family. My son has loved getting ‘his recipe book’ out and choosing what to make.

Great ideas for kids
Awesome cookbook! There are some great ideas for kids in there. So many of our kid staples came from this book. Our kids have especially loved many of the breakfast ideas as well as l the dips! The other recipes are also great, I’m sure, we’ve just mostly done those so far!
Shelby –
kids (and husband) loved the recipes
After owning the book for less than a week, I have made the tofu nuggets and my family (including myself) is obsessed with them. We have also made the nut-free nutella (with hemp hearts instead of hazelnuts) which my whole family also loves, and that is super helpful for school lunches which have to be nut free. But by far the crowd favourite right now are the carrot cake breakfast cookies, so good that I don’t want to share them with my kids! I would recommend this book to anyone with kids, because the pages have lots of colour, great pictures and child friendly fonts that attract the attention of both my kids (2y and 4y) who have asked me to make the above recipes. So far, myself and my husband have also really enjoyed the recipes too!

Great for Adults Too!
Bought this book for my daughter-in-law for Christmas. She has a plant based almost 2 year old. I have been vegan for 9 years myself, and after browsing through her book, I bought a copy for myself. I don’t like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen and this book has really helped with lots of simple meal ideas. I love the Alfredo pasta and the bravo bean burgers. Can’t wait to try more of the recipes and ideas.

A kids cookbook you will actually use!
I’m in love with this plant based cookbook! I was hesitant to buy it at first because it’s more expensive than other plant based cookbooks I’ve bought before. But now that I’ve seen it I can tell it’s well worth the cost! I love the full color spiral bound pages that make it appealing to both my kids and myself. The recipes look tasty and have simple and few ingredients which helps me not feel overwhelmed by trying something new. The recipes include a good mixture of kid friendly recipes like quesadillas and Mac N Cheese as well as recipes some picky eaters might have a hard time eating like salads or casseroles. I like that it includes a mixture of both so that my picky eaters are encouraged to try new things. I’m also really impressed by all the tips and guides included like 25 ways to flavor oatmeal how to plan and pack a healthy lunch. I haven’t made any of the recipes yet but I can’t wait to get started cooking with my kiddos! This is a cookbook I’ll actually use.

Kids love it already!
I was blown away when I got this book in the mail. I got it so that I could get some healthy recipes that my kids would like but I wasn’t quite expecting the detail and amount of recipes that are included in this book! Talk about getting your money’s worth. 175 pages of goodness. Not only did I get a ton of recipes ideas that are so delicious and healthy but you can tell that Faith has done a lot of research on how to get kids to eat healthy foods and why it’s so important to teach your kids to eat healthy foods.I’ve already tried a few recipes and they have been a huge hit in my family!I would 100% recommend this book to anyone and I mean anyone. My family isn’t even vegan and we still love it. My husband is GF and I really appreciate how all of her recipes can be GF. That’s hard to find.Well done on a beautiful cookbook! We absolutely love it! Thank you for helping us keep our kids healthy.

A cookbook both you and your children will love!
I preordered this cookbook and was so excited to get it. My granddaughter & I have made quite a few of the recipes so far and we have loved each one we’ve tried. It’s been fun to see her get excited about cooking some healthy food. She is 9 years old and so proud that she has prepared such delicious meals. I recently ordered one for my DIL as a Christmas present. Last night my granddaughter said we should make a list of all the recipes we’ve made and put it in her aunt’s new cookbook so she will know the ones we love. The photos are beautiful and the recipes are delicious!Update 1 year later: After using this cookbook for a year now, I love it even more. I love so many of the recipes and use it weekly. Last weekend, while visiting my son and DIL, we made the Soup-er Simple White Bean Chili, which was delicious. A favorite fall treat are the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. I would totally recommend this cookbook!

This book makes plant-based cooking simple and easy! It is well organized, visually appealing, and easy to read and understand. It’s as enjoyable for an adult to use as a child. And the recipes are tasty! We’ve already found a few favorites like the cookie bars and pumpkin cookies.

I love this book!
Our family does not eat strictly plant based foods and I’m always a little wary of vegan recipes because they either use really specialized ingredients, or use overly processed meat and dairy replacements. This book offers recipes that have neither of those problems, and best of all, the food is delicious! I appreciate that the recipes use whole foods that are easily accessible to most people and are actually quite affordable. I love that the recipes also come with little tidbits of information in the margins and lots of ideas for customizing meals to your liking/special dietary needs. I’d recommend this book to anyone trying to eat more plant based meals! We especially love the nice cream and Hawaiian haystacks recipes. Better than the real thing! Beautiful book, easy to navigate, and my kids love choosing recipes and making them with me!

Getting Kids Involved Gets Them Eating
I have followed Faith on social media for years and used her blog recipes time and time again. Still this book has been a hit in our house. My 5 year old loves having a physical book to look through and pick recipes to try. Involving her is each step of the planning and cooking process has really helped her eat more and try new foods that usually freak kids out. Plus there are tidbits about nutrition, healthy eating and taking care of our bodies all throughout the book that are fun to share.A couple of our favorite recipes are:Baked Oatmeal BarsPasta Salad (the homemade dressing is amazing)Hawaiian Haystacks

Plant Based for Kids
This felt like Christmas in July when we bought the cookbook. I’ve been using the faithful plateful blog for recipes for years and years and love to finally have a cookbook we can touch and flip through. Especially so my kids can get involved. We have used the smoothies and pancakes page over and over. A few times when my kids were in picky moods I asked them to flip through and choose any recipe and the last time it was apple nachos for lunch. I love that I can trust the taste and ingredients for all these delicious recipes!

Best kids cookbook!
I have looked long and hard for a good kids’ cookbook but when your kids are plant based eaters it becomes very discouraging!! I’ve seen a couple in the past, but the recipes are too foreign or complicated to even appeal to me, let alone my kids. This book perfectly hot the spot! My son’s first recipe to try was the mouse baked potatoes. After using the book for a year, there are several “go-to” recipes we use. It’s an awesome resource to have on my shelf! The pictures are great. I love all the notes and variations. But I do have a couple comments for future editions the may just be my personal preference. I don’t want a kids cook book to spend any space on preaching or explaining “healthy” eating. I figure the audience buying this book is already converted to the benefits of plant based eating – you don’t need to sell us on it and I am leary of creating black and white thinking around food for my kids. Just celebrate the good recipes – no need to justify them! Second of all, and this is minor… I don’t like the super wide book design. I prefer books that are more standard shaped so they’ll fit on my bookshelf nicely. Oh, and this seems a no brainer for a book publisher – page numbers should be on outside corners, not by the binding. But as I said – awesome book, beautiful book, even better recipes. Thank you Faith!

This book has been so incredible for our family. I’ve loved cooking and baking from it and my son is starting to really look forward to going through the recipes with me. It has helped me engage my child in the kitchen and also helps us know what healthy meals to cook throughout the week. She writes out useful and helpful tips and “why’s” for eating WFPB and doing it with kids and picky eaters. It’s so helpful and we love it. I can’t recommend it enough.

Simple yet delicious recipes; love!
I have never left an Amazon review before, but felt compelled to promote this cookbook. I am notoriously particular about recipes I make for my family, primarily looking for easy, quick recipes that are tasty and require simple ingredients. I love that the ingredients used in this book are all pantry staples. It means I don’t have to run to the store for that “one” thing. I also love that I can make the dessert recipes with my daughter and don’t have to worry about her tasting raw ingredients. They’re all whole foods, plant based! So far we’ve made the breakfast carrot cookies and the chickpea sandwiches and both were a hit! Looking forward to cooking our way through the rest!

I bought this as a gift for a friend who has three vegetable adverse children under the age of 10. I’ve known Faith both professionally and personally for several years now, so I have experienced the wonders of her plant-based cooking. Would give it a 5 +++ if possible!
I pre-ordered this book after seeing the author on Chef AJ’s YouTube channel and Tammi’s Nutmeg Notebook channel. My book arrived today during the delivery time frame! I love that it is spiral-bound-perfect for kitchen use. I thumbed through the recipes and they are easy and of course, healthy.I didn’t see any unrealistic ingredients that can’t be purchased. I am WFPB (whole food, plant based) but got it to “ease” a young nephew who isn’t exposed to plant- based eating. I will have him help me.Nice pictures, the font size of the recipes is perfect (not too small).I am looking forward to using the book very soon and will update! Thank you!

I’m in love with it!
I’m still new to a whole food plant based diet. (About 6 months now) I’ve tried many recipes that I found online but often to many ingredients were required, long instructions or my children didn’t like it. I have a picky 3 year old and a 15 month old. I finally found a recipe book that has simple but delicious recipes for not just kids but the whole family. I especially like that so many pictures are included on each page. And going through the recipes I find that I have most of the ingredients at home already. I’m in love with it and am excited to try more of the recipes with my family.

Easy to follow, beautiful to look at, and Delicious!
This book is beautiful. I really appreciate that the meals have practical everyday kitchen ingredients likely found in a non-plant based home like mine. I love that everything you need to know is available on the page you are looking at. No flipping back and forth to a different “sauces” page. The recipes are not complicated and do not require a ton of steps. It is a very practical, beautiful and delicious guide to incorporating more plant based foods into the family diet.

Simple yet attractive and diverse collection of recipes, that are absolutely great for kids!!! My 11yo LOVED it and was able to cook and bake a few recipes already. He does have a bit of kitchen skills (comfortably access stove and use of knives) so perhaps won’t be ideal for a complete newby. But maybe it could…
